Understanding the Journey Tab

When viewing each person's profile, you'll see a tab which says Journey. The Journey Tab is a unique feature to Connection Card Pro which we released in 2021 which displays a high-level view of an individual's journey within your church (or organization). 

To view a person's journey, just click on Journey when viewing their profile. 

At the top of the Journey tab, you'll see information about if / where they are currently serving or leading, their first attendance, their most recent attendance, when they began serving or leading, and when they became a member (if applicable). 

This information is automatically filled in as you use Connection Card Pro! 

• Attendance
  As attendance is recorded, the first and most recent attendance dates are automatically updated.
  
  
• Serving
  If the person is currently a member of a Crew, those crews will be displayed under Currently Serving. And, the first time a person is added to a crew will be the date that they Began Serving. If they began serving at some point but are no longer serving, you'll see "not currently serving" under the Currently Serving heading. 
  
  
• Leading
  Leading works similar to serving, but applies to all group types and is looking at the classification rather than membership. If a person is classified as the group's primary or secondary leader classification within their connection to that group, they'll be deemed as Currently Leading. The first date when someone is assigned to a leadership role in a group will be their Began Leading date.
  
  
• Membership
  The date a person becomes a member is the date that their organization-wide classification is switched to your Default Member Classification. (This default can be set up in People > People Settings > Classifications.)

Below that top section, you'll see any Custom Fields which have been included in the Journey tab (if applicable). Those custom fields are grouped by their Custom Field Categories. This is a great way to track sacraments or other common and important attributes about a person's journey within your church.

Lastly, at the bottom of the Journey tab you'll find a List of Milestones. 

You can manually add/track milestones and a number of milestones will also be automatically created and added to each person's Journey as you use Connection Card Pro.

Milestones are automatically added to each person's Journey tab when any of the following occur: 

• A person is added to or removed from a group. 
• A person's classification (within a group or organization-wide) is changed. 
• A tag is added to or removed from a person. 
• A person is added to or removed from a custom list (not including smart lists).
