Reconnecting Bank Account Integration
Connection Card Pro uses a third-party service provider to connect directly to your online banking in order to import transactional data. Sometimes this connection needs to be reset.
Typically, the connection to your online banking will need to be reset if:
- Online Banking Credentials have changed
- 2FA settings for online banking have changed
- Additional users have been added to or removed from your online banking
- Other account changes to your bank account / credit card account
- Expiration - links will sometimes expire after a set period of time or after a period of inactivty
- Connection Card Pro was removed from your online banking's allowed access when logged in to your bank
- Other security reasons or account updates outside of our control
Reconnecting is Easy!
In most cases, you'll see a warning when trying to import transactions.

- Click Reconnect to Bank Account
- Follow the prompts to reconnect, which may require password or 2FA.
If reconnecting doesn't work
Sometimes, reconnecting doesn't work. The banks don't often tell us why. If you attempt to reconnect and it does not work, first try again confirming that you have the correct credentials.
If you've confirmed the credentials are correct and it still does not work, you may need to completely reset the link to that bank account.
- Go to Accounting > Financial Settings > Bank Account Integration
- Remove the account you are having trouble connecting to
- Click "Add Bank Account"
- Walk through the steps to create a fresh connection to this bank account.
In most cases, removing and adding the bank account again will resolve any issues with reconnecting to the account.
If for some reason that does not work, it's possible that Plaid is having issues on their end with your bank. We recommend waiting a few hours and trying again later.
If you still are unable to reconnect, you may contact Support. We will be able to check with Plaid to see if they are currently experiencing issues with your bank, but typically can't do much else on our end other than waiting for any connectivity issues between Plaid and the bank to be resolved.
