Rooms & Resources Settings

Rooms and Resources is a NEW Feature of Connection Card Pro! This feature was just released in the middle of 2024! Here you can schedule and book rooms, equipment, personnel or other resources to make sure no spaces or resources are overbooked! More components will be added to it within the next few years giving this feature even more functionality

This feature is an add-on and priced separately. If your organization has added this feature, you will see “Rooms & Resources” on the side menu. If you do not yet have this feature and would like to add it, please see your main Administrator who created your Connection Card Pro account.

Add-on features such as Rooms & Resources can be easily added on by clicking on your profile image in the top right corner and select “Billing” where you can find Rooms & Resources along with other additional add-on features to select from.

Setting Up Your Rooms and Resources

Before you are able to start reserving resources, you will need to add all of your resources along with creating any room configurations, activities, credentials, rate types, etc. first.

Step 1: Create your Resource Categories First

Here you can create categories to categorize your resources by type, such as a category for Rooms, one for Equipment, Parking lots, People (that represent individuals or staff positions which may be included or required for a booking or facility rental), etc.

Go to Rooms & Resources > Resource Settings > Resource Categories

Step 2: Create and Add your Resources to be Booked!

A Resource represents a room, building, location, piece of equipment, person, or any other item which can be booked, reserved or scheduled for events or other functions. You can add, remove or archive resources at any time.

Go to Rooms & Resources > New Resource

Step 3: Create your Resource Settings:

Configurations:

Setting up any standard configurations you have when using a room for a specific event can be set up here, along with setting the maximum occupants for that room based on the configuration. A graphic showing the configuration can also be included in here.

Go to Rooms & Resources > Resource Settings > Configurations

Activities:

Activities are a way to define what the room could be used for (such as Banquets, Birthday’s, etc.). You can also add any extra additional resources or set up time for an activity as needed.

Go to Rooms & Resources > Resource Settings > Activities

Credentials:

In this section you can keep track and manage certifications, degrees and other credentials that can be assigned to resources or people.

Go to Rooms & Resources > Resource Settings > Credentials

Rate Types

Go to Rooms & Resources > Resource Settings > Rate Types

Reservations and Requests Settings

Here you can select who can book reservations and select which Admin Users should receive a notification when reservations are made.

Please note, at this time only Admin Users can book reservations, therefore any options granting permission to non-admins, such as logged in Personal Hub uses or anyone with a public link are not currently functioning options at this time but will be made functional in future updates!

Go to Rooms & Resources > Resource Settings > Settings

You are now ready to start reserving Rooms and Resources by going to Rooms & Resources > Reservations
