Troubleshooting Dymo Printer

Here are a few things to check when setting up the Dymo Printers.

1) Please make sure that you've installed Dymo Connect (not just the drivers, but their Dymo Connect software) and did a "Complete" installation. This will include the necessary Dymo Connect Web Services. You can find their software here or at https://www.dymo.com/support?cfid=user-guide. Choose the first option "The latest software & drivers for all LabelWriters" and then choose Mac or PC. You may need to reboot your computer after installing.

2) Once installed, please make sure that the Dymo Connect Web Services are running. Or launch the Dymo Connect Web Services.

3) In Connection Card Pro - You can test to make sure that the printer is properly installed by going to Kiosk > Printers and Labels. Scroll down and click on the "Test Printer" button. If Dymo Connect Web Services are not running, you will receive an error message when trying to print the test label.

4) When setting up the check-in kiosk (Check-in Settings for either Kiosk or Service Counter), please be sure to select an option for "Name Tags / Pick-up Slips" in the Check-in Settings. Then, also in the Check-in Settings, you will need to select a "Name Tag Template" as well as a "Printer". Those options won't appear until an option has been selected for "Name Tags / Pick-up Slips".

5) If you are performing check-in on a device that is not physically connected to the label printer, please make sure that you are running the Connection Card Pro Label Print Server on the computer which the label printer is connected to. This may require logging in and will enable any other device to print to that label printer.

Checking and Clearing Printer Queue

If multiple labels have been sent to a printer and none have printer, please check your printer queue. On Windows, go to the bottom right corner of your screen and find the printer icon. You may have to click the arrow to see more.

Double click on the printer icon to view the current print queue for your Dymo label printer.

If you see multiple print jobs and one of them has an error, you can right-click on the print job with the error and select Cancel.

Once cancelled, this should clear up the print queue and should continue printing with the next label in the queue. If there are a lot of labels that you don't wish to print, then you can click on the Printer menu and choose Cancel All Documents instead of cancelling the individual item.
