Our Background Checks offer many options/packages for what type of background check you would like to run on staff, volunteers, etc.
Background Checks are a great way to protect yourself and your organization when hiring staff or when you have volunteers that will be working closely with children or even adults.
Background Checks are ordered directly from the person’s profile page.
To start your Background Check Process:
From the menu: People > View People
“View” the person you wish to order a background check for.
Scroll down to the Background Check section and click “Order Background Check.
Click on either the “Express” or “Interactive” Workflow. Express is if you have all the required candidate information to enter yourself, or chose Interactive if you do not have all their information, and this will email a link to them to fill out their information once it has been submitted. Click Continue.
Confirm the information you have. If you need to edit/add any information that is missing click on "Edit their Profile" to be taken back to make the changes. SAVE the changes, then go back to the Background section and click "Order Background Check" again. You will need to select your option again of Express or Interactive.
Change Workflow Button: If after seeing their contact information you decide you want to choose the other option (Express or Interactive) click on the Change Workflow button to go back and select the other option. Then click Continue to confirm their information again and Continue.
Select the Background Package option and any Add-ons you would like to run on this candidate. If you do not need a whole package, you can just select option(s) from the Add-ons Menu. Click Continue and fill out the additional information and continue to Submit your order.
NOTE: Orders cannot be changed once submitted, all information must be accurate, and you must have the consent of the candidate to perform this background check.
If you chose the Interactive option, the candidate will receive an email with the link to submit their information.
Once sent, you will not receive a confirmation, but you can always check the status by viewing that person’s profile page who it was ordered for. If it says Pending, then you know the background service has received it.
It may take up to a couple of business days for it to be completed. You will receive a notification once it is completed
Where to Check Status of Background Checks:
From the menu: People > View People
Select person to View from the person list
Scroll down to the Background Check section - here you can see if a Background Check has already been completed or if one is pending, along with the date submitted and date last updated.
