For Temporary Cards and Admin Access Cards, And Items/Assets that are checked out, or for Tracking Items
From the left toolbar go toOn this page you can generate PDF documents with printable barcode labels (compatible with Avery 5160/8160 Address Labels). Once generated, PDF documents will remain available for download for 60 days from the “Files” page (Reports > Files).
These Barcode Labels can be used for your temporary cards for visitors, and also for your Workers and Volunteers who have authorization to use the Menu Access code and enter new people during check-ins and check-outs. Barcodes are also great for adhering to check-out items or items that move often between rooms/locations so that you can track who has it or where it is!
When making your temporary and paper cards you do not need to follow the strict artwork specifications and guidelines as when having your cards and barcodes printed for long-time use.
Using Avery 5160/8160 labels, you can print up to 30 barcode stickers on each page, which can be adhered to your temporary cards, which can be plastic cards or paper; assets, etc.
When entering a Card Number by hand, you only need to enter the 12 to 13-digit number which is printed on the card (12 digit number for temporary cards). However, entering a card number by hand may limit certain card features. Additionally, cards used at other locations must always be scanned for security purposes.
Proper Placement of this code on your temporary cards:
Barcode should be place on the back of the card, at either the top or bottom of the card.
If you are adhering a Menu Access code to the back of a permanent card, place in a way
that either barcode can be used.
We recommend placing the barcode 3/16” to ¼” from the top or bottom edge of card, so
as to ensure maximum compatibility with card readers. We recommend placement of one
barcode on a temporary card first to test its placement before adhering all of them to your
temporary cards.

When ordering plastic cards for use with Connection Card, please refer to the specification on this page to ensure that your permanent plastic cards are compatible with Connection Card.
All plastic cards must contain an encoded 24-digit “Code-128” barcode and a printed 13-digit card number following specifications.
The barcode should be placed on the back of the card, at either the top or bottom of the card.
We recommend placing the barcode 3/16” to ¼” from the top or bottom edge of card and printing the barcode at least 7/16” to 1/2” in height, to ensure maximum compatibility with card readers. We recommend printing a sample barcode and testing it’s placement with the card reader you will be using before ordering your plastic cards.
Both sides of the card should be printed “full-bleed”.
We recommend that all plastic cards be at least 30 mil thickness. (This is an option you may select with the card printer of your choice). This is a requirement if your card’s artwork includes any mention of Connection Card, any Connection Card related web site, or the Connection Card logo or emblem.
